What We Believe

There is only one true God.  We are created in the spiritual likeness or image of God

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God. He is the only mediator between God and man.

The Holy Spirit indwells each member of God’s family as a Helper and Guide.

When God created mankind, He created us an eternal soul.  We believe in the sanctity of life beginning with conception.  Abortion is a sin.

The Bible is the God-breathed written Word and the authority or standard for living our lives according to God’s will for us.

We need salvation because we have all sinned. We believe that saving faith demonstrates itself in obedience to the will of God.  We believe that God calls us to live holy lives, which reflect the purity, morality and ethical standards of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said marriage must be between one man and one woman. For this reason, we believe same-sex marriage is disordered and sinful, and we oppose same-sex marriage.

The Church is God’s spiritual family.

We believe that water baptism by immersion serves as the point at which we die to our lost selves, are buried, and are raised to a resurrected life in Christ.  We believe that in baptism sins are washed away through faith and because of grace.  We believe that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord must be baptized into Christ Jesus.

Based upon our understanding of the N.T. scripture we choose an acapella worship and to participate in communion every Sunday.

According to scripture, God has clearly defined roles for men and women in the church.  God commanded men to serve in the roles of public leadership in the church.  Women have equally important roles in service to God which are clearly set forth in scripture.
